The entrepreneurial spirit of people in Monterrey has been the driver in implementing the preservation of a true Ecologic Park in the state of Nuevo León. This demands the design of a management plan where man interacts in an orderly manner with the environment.

In order to achieve the aforementioned, a Foundation was established by the State Government and private enterprises in the year 1992 in order to protect and preserve “forever and exclusively for preservation” one of the most important ecologic areas that the metropolitan area in Monterrey has.

Chipinque Ecologic Park was a private property until 1989, year when Congress received a proposal for the expropriation project, being used as State Park until 1992.

Under the suggestion of the State Government of Nuevo León and Private Enterprises, the Administrative Foundation was formalized establishing Parque Ecológico Chipinque A.C., which, within a legal and financial framework, guarantees viability in the future.

In order to ensure the execution of this mission, and under the initiative of the State Government in Nuevo León, there was a Foundation established comprising: CEMEX, FEMSA, GOBIERNO DEL ESTADO DE NUEVO LEÓN, GRUPO ALFA, GRUPO CYDSA, GRUPO IMSA, MUNICIPIO DE SAN PEDRO, PULSAR and VITRO
