In the Sierra Madre Oriental, Inside the limits of the Park National Summits of Monterrey, this natural area of 1625 hectares covering altitudes of 800 to the 2200 meters is found above sea level, with flora and representative fauna since the thicket xerófilo to the forest of Pine-encino. With an excellent climate and an annual average of temperature of 21 degrees centigrade. Chipinque is one of the most important natural passages of the region by its proximity to the city of Monterrey and by the attractions and services that offers.

El Parque Ecológico Chipinque It is a Natural Area Protected, of private kind under the guardianship of a Foundation, whose mission is the conservation of the biodiversity through a management integrated that assure the conservation of its natural resources, promoting at the same time a culture of respect and appreciation for the natural and physical aspects of the Park, providing physical security to its visitors and guaranteeing to the future generations this invaluable patrimony.


ACHIEVEMENT
  1. The restoration of the 100% of the areas affected by the fire of 1998.
  2. The construction of thesecurity's tower for the detection of contingencies in the Park.
  3. Construction of the center of attention fot the visitor
  4. Construction of the recreational area with childlike play, café, theater, sanitary services in the top of the park.
  5. In soil conservation: construction of andadores in the paths 1,2 and 3, retaining walls in glens, application of seeds of herbaceous and grasses in zones of landslides.
  6. Restoration and reconstruction of areas and installations affected by the rains of October of the 2000.
  7. To the date has been attended to a school public of more than 70,000 students, thanks al covenant signed with the Office of the secretary of Public Education.
  8. Working as a group with other associations, organizations and institutions to exchange know-how and to promote the environmental education.
  9. Prevention and battle of forest plagues.
  10. Investigations of flora and fauna, besides the ecological characteristics; that permit to achieve a better equilibrium in the ecosystem of the Park.
  11. Including a plan of contingencies and the acquisition of material and team for the prevention and battle of forest fires.
  12. Diffusion on ecological culture, directed to the community.
  13. Installation of three weather stations to evaluate the climatic conditions of the Park and to take the necessary measures for the prevention of fires.
  14. Construction of the Astronomical Observatory.
  15. Construction of a nursing one for first aids.
  16. Transportation on behalf of the Park for the execution of school visits.
  17. The integration of a team of work compromised and conformed by 45 professionals that watch day with day the care of the natural resources, as well as the integral security of the visitors.
