MISSION /
To achieve sustainability between preservation of
the ecosystem and the sports, recreational, educational,
and cultural vocation of the Park.
These mountains that
are so close to Monterrey provide important environmental
services to millions of inhabitants in the Metropolitan
area. One of the most important is collecting rainwater
that will supply the water-bearing strata that we all
use later. Chipinque is much more than only a place for
exercising, or a picnic, or a place to spend some time
with the family.
For us, as part of the Department of Education and Wildlife,
it is our opportunity to be part of the efforts in preserving
our local natural resources and handle appropriately this
small section of the Sierra Madre Oriental.
This important task is carried out by professionals from
the Park, by experts from local universities, and with
the participation of National and International organizations.
Generating knowledge of the
natural resources of the Park, their function and
interrelationship, as well as the impact generated
by their use in order to make the correct decisions
for its restoring, handling and preservation.
